Have you ever felt:
- Out of control around food?
- Each diet you try is unsustainable?
- You know what to do, but can’t seem to do it long term?
- You overeat when bored, stressed or lonely?
- You don’t know why you get those cravings?
- You feel like a failure or something must be wrong with you?
- You’ve been struggling with weight for decades?
- Had trouble maintaining your “ideal” weight?
- Ever sabotaged your own weight loss efforts… right when you’ve been making progress and sticking to your plan?
- Struggled with intense cravings or binge eating?
What if: What if weight loss could be as easy as changing your mind?
Well, it literally is…. For long term sustainable weight loss, we need to change the conditioning in the unconscious part of our mind. This is the part of you that controls what you do each day.And it’s the secret reason why people can’t stick to their diet and finally lose the weight… even though they’ve tried “everything” – including all the latest pills, supplements, shakes, diets, boot camps, surgery and quick fixes.
“What’s this secret block that’s been blocking my success with weight loss?” you’re probably asking… I won’t keep you guessing any longer. The answer is simply your primitive brain.
The primitive brain is that part of the brain that will do anything – even things that seem to sabotage our success to keep us feeling safe. Our primitive brain’s main role is to keep us feeling safe, this can include causing us to either hold onto extra weight when we’re not even overeating or causing us to overeat, binge eat or give in to intense cravings or sabotage our weight loss efforts.
In other words: if we don’t feel safe losing weight, we will unconsciously sabotage ourselves in any way possible to keep the weight on or gain it back once we’ve lost it. That is our primitive brain working to protect us.
This all happens at an unconscious level, it can cause us to have intense cravings, binge eat, emotionally eat, comfort eat, overeat or any combination of these. A good example of this may be: overhearing others criticising someone who is slim or perhaps there was a time when they were slim and they attracted the wrong attention from others which made them feel threatened or afraid.
So, at the time these thoughts and feelings became conditioned into the unconscious mind to be wary of this risk. So, when the weight loss starts to happen, they will unconsciously self-sabotage their success.
When working with clients regarding weight loss, the weight challenges are most often just a symptom of the underlying stress and trauma that has been trapped in the body emotionally and energetically.
The path to recovery requires the release of these stress triggers using EFT Tapping and some reprograming of the unconscious mind using hypnotherapy. This is a powerful combination that supports easy sustainable weight loss. A research study lead by Dr Peta Stapleton found these results below.
“Results indicated EFT delivered in an online format significantly reduced food cravings, dietary restraint, and power of food in participants in the EFT group. No statistically significant differences in these variables from pre- to immediately post-intervention for participants in the waitlist control group were found.
The current finding is consistent with previous research on the effect of in-person EFT intervention on food-related issues in which overall reductions in food cravings were found at post-intervention and maintained in the ensuing year.
Additionally, these findings demonstrate the efficacy of online delivery of EFT for food cravings, which suggests that well-structured online programs following clinical guidelines, may be associated with similar positive effects as attending in-person therapy.” 1
